HVAC Technician

The HVAC Technician is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. This role requires strong technical skills, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service while working independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC/R systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Monitor, program, and maintain energy management systems and associated controls.
Operate and utilize diagnostic and testing equipment to identify and resolve system issues.
Complete service documentation, work orders, and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist with training and mentoring Apprentice Technicians by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Collaborate with team members to solve technical challenges and deliver highquality service.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company policies and industry safety standards.
Provide professional, courteous customer service and communicate repair recommendations clearly.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

Oil Burner License
Universal Refrigeration Recovery Certification
NATE Certification (Heating & Air Conditioning)
Apprentice Massachusetts Refrigeration License

Qualifications:

Experience servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and commercial HVAC/R systems.
Working knowledge of HVAC controls, energy management systems, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
